Abseiling
What is Abseiling?
Abseiling is an activity which has its roots in climbing and mountaineering. Abseiling was and still is used as a way to retreat off high alpine climbing routes and is now enjoyed by many as an exciting alternative activity.
How does it work?
For abseiling you will be kitted out with a harness and a helmet and all the required safety equipment. With the aid of an experienced abseiling instructor, you will have the experience of a lifetime, abseiling down both a steep cliff face and a massive 120ft Overhang, where you will be suspended fully in midair!
This location is a great stop off for a pub which you can walk back to through the woods, or nearby a fantastic country park where you can carry on your day after you have finished your activity.
How long is the activity?
Anywhere between 2-3 hours. In that time you will take part in multiple descents over various rock types.
Anything I need to bring?
A warm & waterproof jacket is recommended, it can get mighty chilly up at the top and on the way down! You will also want to bring along a relatively sturdy pair of shoes with good grip.
